Rei suddenly has conflicting feelings about Gotou, who has a problematic relationship with his foster sister, Kyouko. 28 oct 2017During a lunch break between matches, Nikaidou gets worked up over his determination to play against Rei in the finals of the Newcomer Tournament, and vividly talks about his future as a Meijin. Rei is listening to Nikaidou coolly until Nikaidou points out some feelings that Rei was not aware of himself and is caught off guard. Meanwhile, at the Kawamoto house, Someji, Akari, Hinata and Momo are brainstorming a new summer sweet creation for Crescent Moon. One day during lunch, the baseball team’s ace and all-around popular guy, Takahashi, pops into Hinata's class to invite her to play catch. Later, when Rei and Akari are on their way back from grocery shopping, he declares loudly without thinking, “I’m here too!” to comfort Akari, who has been worrying about her little sister. Meanwhile, it is the semi-finals of the Newcomer Tournament. Rei’s opponent is Subaru Hachiya, the “Irritated Prince of the East.” How will Rei fare against this peculiar player, Hachiya? On the other hand, Nikaidou, who had been passionately pitching to Rei their potential face off during the finals if both of them win their way through the Newcomer Tournament, collapses during his semi-finals match against 5th dan Junkei Yamazaki, thereby losing. 6 ene 2018After Hinata's class returns from the trip, the homeroom teacher has become the new target of bullying from Takagi and friends. She is overcome with anxiety, which soon leads to her hospitalization. Kokubu, the school's head teacher, takes her place. He decides to have parent-teacher-student conferences with Hinata and Takagi along with their families, taking the first steps to solving the problem. Hearing about the situation from Hinata, Akari convinces Grandpa not to abandon his work to attend the meeting, but to let her go with Hinata instead. 3 feb 2018On the trip back home from their commemorative match in Morioka, Rei and Souya are forced to stay in Sendai for a night because of a typhoon. Rei is relieved once they find lodging, but soon gets a phone call from Jinguuji, who tells him the secret of the genius "Shougi Demon," Souya. When Rei returns to Tokyo, he thinks over their match, while examining Souya’s past game records. 17 mar 2018Crescent Moon sets up a food stand at the March Town summer festival, featuring Akari and Hinata's new menu - "chilled rice dumplings with syrup." One of its variations uses the plum syrup made by Chiho, Hinata's friend who moved away after being bullied. Hinata had visited Chiho at the beginning of her summer break. Chiho was smiling again, but she was also still bearing the emotional scars. Hinata plans to share with her a photo of everyone enjoying the plum syrup, and also to visit her again.
