A power struggle among three generations of shoguns during the Keichou era reached its peak in a brutal clash between the Kouga and Iga ninja clans. Amid this conflict, a man and a woman, who had chosen to live together in love, were once again torn apart, their moment of unity fleeting and poignant. According to legend, Kyouhachirou, the adopted son of Hattori Hanzo, reunited them, either temporarily or permanently, leaving behind two children as mementos. These children, Kouga Hachirou and Iga Hibiki, inherited their own fates—Hachirou with eyes like his father and Hibiki with eyes like her mother. By the Kan'ei era, the country had become peaceful, and ninjas were no longer needed, fading into obscurity. With their roles diminishing, the Kouga and Iga clans turn to Hachirou and Hibiki, seeking their help to strengthen their clan's legacy.
