EP 49Kai confronts Aichi in an underground clash to save him from Ren's influence.
Dec 17, 2011Kai travels to an underground zone to face Aichi, while Ren summons Aichi via Psyqualia from Card Shop PSY. Kourin intercepts Aichi outside Card Capital, bringing him to the site where Miwa, Misaki, and Kamui urge Kai to help Aichi return to normal. As the group watches, Kai reveals he uses his former Royal Paladin deck to demonstrate its true power. A flashback details Kai’s past with Team AL4, Ren’s Psyqualia obsession, and the team’s dissolution after Ren collapsed. Kai recalls meeting Aichi and resolving to save him from his fixation on strength. With determination, Kai draws Solitary Knight, Gancelot, adding Blaster Blade to his hand. He asserts that Blaster Blade, not Blaster Dark, is Aichi’s true avatar, declaring his intent to teach Aichi about genuine strength and rescue him.

Dec 24, 2011Kai rides King of Knights, Alfred to damage Aichi, who responds with a Final Turn using Phantom Blaster Dragon and Blaster Dark. Kai guards against both attacks, forcing Aichi to end his turn. Kai then declares his own Final Turn, riding Alfred Early, a younger form of King of Knights, Alfred. Through Alfred Early's skill, Blaster Blade is superior called from the soul. This moment helps Blaster Blade make Aichi realize that relying on Psyqualia is not real power, reminding him of the cardfight he originally wanted with Kai. Remembering this and recognizing his own strength, Aichi decides to give up Psyqualia, the Shadow Paladin deck, and Blaster Dark as his avatar. The fight is called off, and Kai returns Aichi's Royal Paladin deck.
EP 51Aichi visits Card Capital for a tournament where Morikawa surprises everyone with an unmodified trial deck.
Dec 31, 2011Seeking to apologize for his recent conduct, Aichi attends a casual shop tournament at Card Capital. He, Kamui, and Misaki compete in the senior division, while Emi enters the junior division. Morikawa intends to participate but realizes he left his powerful deck at home. Shin provides him with an unmodified trial deck, which Morikawa initially dismisses as weak due to a lack of grade 3 units. Contrary to expectations, Morikawa achieves a winning streak using this deck. During his match against Aichi, who has lost interest in winning and now values enjoyment, Morikawa’s unexpected success highlights the fun of the game. This event serves as a turning point for Aichi, who is reminded to appreciate the experience rather than solely focusing on victory.
