Haraken and Fumie locate early records of cyber users who passed out and reported hallucinations of "the other side" for their research project. Simultaneously, Yasako observes Isako visiting her comatose brother. Yasako deduces that the brother is 4423 and confronts Isako, revealing her realization that she had met him years ago.
