Ep. 3: Hinagiku adopts a cheerful attitude for Hayate, leading to a movie date and amusement park outing.
Aired on October 18, 2012

Hinagiku attempts to be more cheerful and forgiving, believing her strictness keeps Hayate at a distance. Her sister and classmates Miki, Izumi, and Risa worry about her sudden change and potential outburst, so they ask Hayate to invite her on a date to take the blame. Hinagiku accepts the butler's invitation unaware of their scheme. She and Hayate attend a children’s movie with Ruri accompanying them, where the audience teases their relationship. When the film breaks, Hayate persists in cheering her up, leading to a joyful day at an amusement park. On the way home, Hinagiku asks for the reason behind the invitation, and Hayate reveals the truth. Hinagiku says something to him, but a passing train prevents Hayate from hearing her words.
