Ep. 23: Susumu and Yugao reconcile after battle while Tetsu defeats Yoshida and Okita intervenes

Susumu and Yugao conclude their conflict by reconciling and parting ways. Suzu attempts to summon clan reinforcements but receives no response at the gate. Tetsu gains the upper hand against Yoshida, who suffers from a leg wound, and severs his arm. Tetsu discovers Yoshida did not murder his parents two years prior. As Yoshida attempts to attack Tetsu with a sword fragment in his mouth, Okita decapitates him from behind. Hijikata observes that Okita has been coughing up blood for several days. Tetsu serves tea to Okita, which Hijikata appreciates. Upon returning, Suzu finds Tetsu has killed Yoshida and cradles the severed head lying on the ground.
