Suzu feels guilty for sparing Tetsu, leading Yoshida to suspend his page duties. The Shinsengumi prepares to attack the Choushuu clan during a meeting at an inn near a bridge. Yamanami misses the battle due to illness while Tatsu serves him dinner. Susumu attempts to reason with Tetsu, who has locked himself in a cabinet. When Tatsu tries to intervene, Susumu insists Tatsu should feel relief for Tetsu's suffering. The group remains focused on their strategic objectives despite these personal conflicts and emotional burdens affecting their members.
