Ash and his companions enter a forest haunted by a ghost Pokémon, where they are deceived by various illusions. Gary advises the group to counter the tricks by obtaining a Hoothoot. Ash locates a rental service for the Pokémon but discovers that the available Hoothoot is particularly unruly and difficult to manage.
