Ep. 25: Children discover a gold-filled lake and face sacrilege accusations from an angry mob.

The children locate a lake supplied by an ornate fountain, prompting Zia to question if it matches the site her father sought. Esteban attempts to retrieve gold treasures from the depths, which incites an angry mob to accuse them of sacrilege. Consequently, the group is imprisoned in a temple scheduled for sacrifice the following day. Concurrently, the Doctor and Marinche scheme to poison the village water and steal the wealth, while Mendoza and his forces prepare to flood the settlement by rigging the levees. The children manage to escape the rising waters using an altar converted into a boat. During the chaos, Kokapetl retrieves a valuable manuscript intended for Tao. A mini-documentary regarding ancient Maya sacrifice customs is also included.
