Yoshio exploits the potential of a nanomachine to separate Kinuho and Ma'aya, aiming to help Mitsuko. Ruiko transports Mitsuko to a hospital where Mikoto discovers her condition and breaks from Misaki's group. Yoshio isolates Kinuho from water to disable her Hydro Hand, but she uses stored water from an underground drain to defeat him. He then deploys a nanomachine mosquito, which Ma'aya counters with her buoyancy manipulation. Yoshio retreats and unleashes his strongest robot, only for Mikoto to destroy it effortlessly. She warns Yoshio to never approach her friends again, ending his assault on the group.
