Upon arriving at the facility with Mikoto, it is revealed that Exterior consists of a fragment of Misaki’s brain. Gensei synchronizes his waves with the Exterior to remove protections from Misaka 10032 and inject a virus into the Misaka Network. He then initiates his true experiment, utilizing the energy generated by the virus to forcibly attempt to elevate Mikoto to Level 6 esper status.
