As the final month of the third term begins, Sakuta Azusagawa prepares to celebrate Mai Sakurajima's graduation. While waiting for her at Shichirigahama beach, he encounters a young girl resembling a childhood version of Mai. Later, he receives a call from his father about his mother, who, after a long hospital stay, wants to see her daughter.
