Carole and Tuesday, now famous, sit for interviews and endure harassment by louts at a laundromat until a stranger named Dann intervenes. Gus declines a restrictive contract with the owners of Mars' Brightest to pursue an indie path. He takes the duo to the slums to find retired producer Tobe, who is revealed to be a deranged old man wielding an axe. Meanwhile, Valerie, assisted by Spencer, launches her election campaign centered on an anti-immigrant message.
