Ep. 23: Matt and Joe face debt at Digitamamon's diner while DemiDevimon causes trouble

Matt and Gabumon encounter Joe and Gomamon, who are working at Digitamamon's diner to repay a meal debt. Matt agrees to help Joe, but DemiDevimon tricks Digitamamon into keeping the boys, staging accidents that strain Matt's trust in Joe. When Tai and T.K. arrive, the situation escalates into a violent confrontation. Matt recognizes Joe as a true friend, prompting Gabumon to digivolve into WereGarurumon to defeat Digitamamon. Following this victory, the group splits up: Matt, Gabumon, T.K., and Patamon head to the mountains, while Tai, Agumon, Joe, and Gomamon sail across the lake.
