Aug 17, 1994Despite his immense strength, Vegeta fails to defeat Majin Buu, whose body regenerates even after being blasted. Frustrated, Buu powers up, shaking the entire planet, and then tears a piece of his own belly to wrap around Vegeta, trapping the Saiyan prince who cannot defend himself. Unable to watch his father suffer, Trunks powers up and flies to his aid, with Goten following closely behind to assist in the rescue attempt.

Aug 24, 1994Trunks rescues his father from captivity, and he and Goten liberate Vegeta. Piccolo engages Babidi, successfully cutting the wizard in half despite his magical defenses. Sep 7, 1994Eighteen-year-old Yamcha, Bulma, Videl, and Chi Chi join the hunt for the Dragon Balls. Their quest for the final sphere leads them to a dinosaur nest, but a dinosaur swallows the eggs before Bulma can retrieve the ball. Yamcha attacks the creature with an energy ball, sending it into the ocean. Videl swims after it, and with assistance from Master Roshi, they successfully recover the ball. Meanwhile, Piccolo and Krillin bring the unconscious Goten and Trunks to the lookout. Shortly thereafter, Goku regains consciousness and arrives at the location himself.

Sep 21, 1994Goku explains a fusion method to two similarly sized individuals during a tactical discussion. He suggests Goten and Trunks learn it, but the week-long training exceeds his remaining time on Earth. Piccolo agrees to instruct the boys after Goku departs. The sky darkens as Bulma summons the Dragon. Goku arrives at Capsule Corp. via Instant Transmission, but she has already granted her wish to revive everyone who died that day. Goku informs Shenron they will delay their second wish and uses Instant Transmission to return everyone to the Lookout.
