Carnac arrives at the hotel where Golgo has taken Sara, and Golgo kills him. Carnac had stolen funds from a group of biologists working on a dangerous project. Bazaine was meant to deliver the key memo but was killed for failing to do so. Golgo was hired by the biologists to ensure Carnac's failure.
