He hides the real cause of his injury from everyone. The situation worsens when Limpus and Gabriella Dascas scheme to restore their family status by seducing Erecpyle. When this plan fails, they force him into a rigged duel. Erecpyle struggles to maintain his secrets while dealing with these escalating complications involving his family and the new creature.
