They question a girl sculpting the statue, who claims to continue her family’s third-generation tradition. Inside a cave base, they discover the sculpture is plunged into lava to create the giant. Ken summons the God Phoenix as the team uses a rocket to break a special glass lens at the sea bottom, which focuses sunlight to heat the magma. Upon receiving a message from Nambu that the giant is heading toward a city, the team lures it into the sea. As they near the finish line, Lucy proposes that Joe and she join forces to take over Galactor. The pair wins the race, earning $100,000 in prize money. In a tea room, Joe demands the promised information. However, Lucy begins to move erratically, crashes through a wall, and explodes.
