Katse activates a self-destruct mechanism and escapes via a rocket through a floor passageway. Ken and Galactor members exit into the sea, where the members die upon touching the flowing pollution matter. Ken is narrowly saved by a mechanical arm from the God Phoenix. Finally, Galactor releases cleaning capsules into the sea, restoring its former beauty.

Ken and Jun fall into a secret underground base after the ground splits open, joining Jinpei in a cell. They learn brainwashed players are being trained for Galactor. After escaping, they learn Katse plans to detonate a hydrogen bomb during the evening game if a home run hits the backscreen. Ken alerts Nambu while Joe and Ryu search for the device. As the game begins, a home run is hit. The ninja miss their shots, but Ken’s boomerang pierces the ball just before it strikes the backscreen, preventing the explosion.

Dec 16, 1973One year after Flanbel escaped Dictator General Somure, Galactor threatens the Prime Minister with death. The Science Ninja Team infiltrates the mansion via a secret back door. On peace memorial day, the governor distributes presents to children, but the Suimusa group sees their gifts stolen by upper city youth. That night, the team finds families dead from poison gas in the presents, revealing the governor serves Somure. Meanwhile, the Suimusa group attempts to destroy a snowman at the celebration site to vent anger. The snowman is actually Galactor's mecha in disguise. Galactor mistakes the Suimusa group for the Science Ninja Team and captures them. The ninja team arrives, rescues the group, and boards the God Phoenix to escape the pursuing mecha. Inside the machine are Somure and the governor. The God Phoenix buries the mecha with them and departs. The team offers to make replacement presents, but the Suimusa group states that fighting alongside Gatchaman was the best gift. Children's voices echo that justice will win.

When Ken removes Katse’s mask, X appears in a flash of light, revealing himself as the ruler of Galactor. The team is blinded and loses consciousness, waking to find both leaders gone, leaving the existence of X and the Himalayan secret unresolved.
