Doubts about his status as an equal partner plague Goemon, yet he joins Lupin, Jigen, and Ami to infiltrate the Shake Handz headquarters on Olig Island in the Republic of Maul. Ami launches a massive DDoS attack to conceal their movements, but Enzo anticipates this and counters. Goemon stays behind to cover the retreat and faces Enzo, who exploits Goemon's insecurities regarding Lupin. As Lupin and Ami prepare to rescue Fujiko, Goemon intervenes, demanding a duel to resolve their relationship issues. The fight leaves Lupin critically injured. Ami, recognizing Enzo as her father, begs him to save Lupin's life.
