Ep. 8: Mei dances with Ogai before visiting Gorou's cat café and declining a Tamayori offer

Mei practices the waltz with Ogai before resuming her search for Shunso's missing black cat. Yakumo guides them to a cat café, where they meet Kyouka and Otojirou en route. The location is revealed to be Gorou's home, showcasing his superior housekeeping skills. The group prepares dinner together, with Ogai unexpectedly joining them. During the meal, Ogai restricts Mei from consuming Otojirou's sake and Yakumo's pickles. While washing dishes, Gorou recounts a past incident where a ghost possessed his katana after he killed his friend Saotome. Gorou repairs Mei's torn kimono and invites her to join his division as a Tamayori. Mei refuses, stating her belief that spirits possess good hearts. The others become intoxicated and attempt to separate Mei from Gorou. Ogai later expresses shock at Mei's refusal, noting her ability to uplift the unruly group.
