Conan and Lana escape and locate a war-era plane desired by Lepka. They are captured in the hangar, where Lepka threatens Conan to force Lana to reveal her grandfather's location. Lana refuses to comply. Witnessing Lepka's actions, Dyce decides to intervene and aid Lana. He and his crew subsequently kidnap Lana from Lepka's custody. The group then makes their escape using the Barracuda. This sequence of events highlights Dyce's decision to oppose Lepka after observing the threat against Conan and Lana's steadfast refusal to betray her grandfather, leading to their successful departure from the hangar with the help of Dyce's crew.
