Ep. 8: Mitsuha Protects Sabine and Defeats Nelson Adler
Mitsuha rescues Sabine from human traffickers using a stun-gun, earning the King’s gratitude. She sells reading glasses to the King and Chancellor Sahr, subtly refusing bribery, which prompts an investigation. Later, Nelson Adler of Adler Trading Company threatens Mitsuha to seize her shop. Mitsuha arranges a meeting with Sabine and Sahr present. When Nelson behaves lecherously toward Sabine, Sahr confiscates his Royal Warrant and warns other traders against harassing Mitsuha. Nelson is forced into disgraceful retirement. The King is pleased that Mitsuha enabled the prosecution of the corrupt Adler Company, which faces rumors of human trafficking. Mitsuha profits significantly by selling reading glasses to older men with poor vision. A desperate woman subsequently visits Mitsuha seeking assistance.
