Ep. 8: Mattis's group struggles to reach Borka while Lovis organizes winter preparations.

Mattis and his band of robbers repeatedly fail to cross to Borka's side of the castle. As robberies decrease, the forest becomes safer for travelers, and guards discover only an abandoned hideout. Inside the castle, the Mattis group grows restless and argues over minor issues. Lovis assigns them tasks tending livestock before they hunt to stockpile meat for winter. Meanwhile, Lovis and Ronja prepare the storehouse with food supplies. Ronja discovers a wild horse herd and promises to tame one like her father. She also wonders about Birk's well-being, having not seen him since their last encounter in the forest during autumn.
