He eventually enlists Suzuka’s assistance, using her as a model while purchasing a necklace from a street vendor. Upon their return, Honoka observes the pair together. When Yamato later presents the gift, he confesses that he chose Suzuka over Yasunobu for the shopping trip. Honoka reveals she was already aware of this fact. Interpreting her calm demeanor as a positive sign, Yamato elaborates on the details of their outing. This unnecessary explanation backfires, resulting in Honoka returning the gift to him.
