Mio is a high school student who often avoids responsibilities and doesn't put much effort into her tasks. She spends afternoons with her childhood friend Arata and her best friend Madoka in Ikebukuro. Madoka confesses her feelings for Arata, and Mio realizes she loves him too but is afraid of disrupting their friendship. She lies about helping them and acts distant, leading to a fight with Arata. Mio later acknowledges her avoidance and decides to reconcile, heading to meet him in the rain. She is involved in a car accident and awakens in a strange world where trains float on water alongside whales. After arriving at a familiar Ikebukuro station, she meets GiMON, who claims to be a guide and urges her to open a door to any desired world. A girl named Kiku intervenes, directing Mio to the Forgotten Things Counter, where she must share a cherished lost memory and a strong wish to return home. With GiMON and Kiku, Mio locates the counter but cannot recall her treasured memory, causing the two to vanish. Now alone in an Ikebukuro filled with memories, she must find what she truly values.
