One Outs

A struggling baseball player from the fictional Lycaons team in Japan's Pacific League, Hiromichi Kojima, travels to Okinawa to recover from a slump. There, he encounters Toua Tokuchi, a pitcher known for his 134-kmph fastball and dominance in a gambling baseball game called "One Out." Encouraged by Kojima, Tokuchi joins the Lycaons under a unique agreement: he earns 5,000,000 yen for each out he records but risks losing 50,000,000 yen for every run he allows.
