Chiyo wakes up, prepares lunch, and heads to school where she learns jump rope is popular again. Sakaki avoids Kamineko, while Tomo guesses Yukari is late buying a limited game. Sakaki returns bandaged after an encounter, and Yukari arrives, confirming Tomo's theory. Osaka sleeps in class, and Kimura discusses school attire norms. Chiyo, Tomo, Yomi, and Osaka eat lunch on the roof. In gym class, Tomo runs over Chiyo with a kickboard. After school, Chiyo walks Mr. Tadakichi, sees children jumping rope, and joins them with her friends. Later, Chiyo hopes to stay up late. Yomi reads, Tomo watches TV, Osaka bathes, Kagura plays games, and Sakaki reads with plush cats.
