Shin-chan leaves home after an argument with Misae but returns to eat the cakes she brought. At school, a swimming competition is held where Masao overcomes his fear and unexpectedly wins the race. Later, Hiroshi, Misae, and Shin-chan visit a video game parlor. While Hiroshi and Misae lose all their money, Shin-chan manages to win the game.
