In 1979 Shinjuku, a member of the Kaeda Yakuza, Shouji Akutsu, loses a fight with a university cheering squad and is left humiliated. His life deteriorates from that moment, leading to his friend being ordered to kill him in 1989. After fleeing and taking his own life, Shouji wakes up back in 1979 at the moment of the fight that changed his fate. With ten additional years of knowledge and experience, he successfully confronts the students. Determined to change his path, he begins wearing a gold emblem and starts over.
