Twenty-five years after the events of *Éclair and Lumière*, the GTO, established after the fall of the GOTT, maintains peace by fighting crime. Its ES division, modeled after the GOTT's ES unit, now includes trainees who are publicly recognized. The narrative centers on two trainees, Ascoeur and Q-feuille, as they pursue ES membership.
