Ash, Misty, Brock, and their Pokémon work with a Lapras to deliver a lost Jynx to Santa Claus prior to Christmas. Concurrently, Jessie attempts to retaliate against Santa for taking her favorite doll during her childhood. This episode was banned following accusations by Carole Weatherford regarding the stereotyping of African-American women. Consequently, subsequent episodes featuring Jynx, such as "Orange Islands: Stage Fight!" and "The Mandarin Island Miss Match," were edited or banned. Jynx has since been recolored to purple in both the anime series and the video games.
