The trio resumes a normal life until the escaped Digimon convince them of their past bond. Although initially skeptical, Masaru and the others eventually regain their memories. Meanwhile, Ikuto and his companions attempt to destroy Kurata but fail. The group reunites to defeat a Gizmon sent by Kurata to attack Masaru. Finally, they arrive at DATS headquarters to discover it is being destroyed.
