Arale acquires a device that reveals how people will appear ten years in the future. She photographs her friends, who all age to twenty-three, while she remains unchanged. To address this discrepancy, Arale Norimaki and Akane Kimidori agree to alter their appearances to resemble one another. They spend the remainder of the day impersonating each other, engaging in a playful exchange of identities to experience life from the other's perspective.
