Ep. 33: Goku escapes explosion and learns Dragon Ball legend while Red Ribbon Army hunts for the five-star ball

Goku summons the Nimbus Cloud to survive a flying fortress explosion, then tracks a signal using the dragon radar. Meanwhile, Master Roshi explains to Krillin and Launch that the Dragon Balls were once a single object that split into seven parts after evil forces attempted to steal it; combining them summons an eternal dragon capable of granting one wish. Goku arrives at a forest where the Red Ribbon Army is burning the area in search of a ball. He attempts to intervene when a monkey carrying the five-star ball runs past. Colonel Silver shoots the monkey, sending it over a cliff edge. Goku catches the creature, but the monkey drops the ball into a nearby river.
