During the confrontation between Nerval and Leopard, Aleida flees with Takane while Akiha and her friends chase them in their QT-Arms. Bou and Min arrive to investigate a prison riot and nearly capture Itsuki, but Nerval freezes Leopard with a cold attack, subsequently freezing Akiha and Itsuki as well. Kazane obtains the control doll Morihime from the Shishido ruling council and uses it to commandeer orbital mirrors to unfreeze Leopard. Leopard then employs his Soul Shout to defeat Nerval. However, another brain colony named Xanthippe appears unexpectedly and escapes with Nerval, who vows vengeance. Following the battle, Kazane informs Akiha that she is destined to fight Nerval alongside Leopard.
