During an archaeological expedition to the farthest reaches of the universe, Professor Daiba accidentally releases a long-dormant alien threat. Five years pass before this hostile entity initiates a scheme that brings back the crew of the Arcadia to travel through space again. This event also leads to Tadashi Daiba's first encounter with Harlock.
