With limited time before launch, the crew searches for materials to keep sponge tires dry. Mutta visits the hotel utility room and borrows silicone sealant from the janitor to waterproof the tires. The team adds a toy astronaut to represent the experiment's purpose. The rover travels 200m from the target goal before the battery dies. They rank fifth overall and second among the AsCans. After the contest, the winning team approaches them. The winning director is Naoto, who works hard to develop a Japanese manned rocket.
