Souta attempts to conceal his familial relationship with an older sister who collapsed near Wagnaria from his coworkers. However, Inami and Souma discover this connection, and Inami also learns that Souta dressed as a girl during his childhood. Souta begs Inami to keep both secrets confidential. Meanwhile, Souta observes Souma, realizing that despite his cheerful demeanor, he exploits employees' secrets to force them into doing his work. Souma prompts Yachiyo to ask Satou about his feelings for Kyouko, annoying Satou. Souta eventually discovers that Souma fears Inami and suffered frequent beatings before Souta began working at Wagnaria.
