Van battles Denis and Stinger while the Shield Liger transforms into the Blade Liger
Feb 26, 2000Van returns to camp and defeats Denis in the Red Guysack by opening the cockpit. Stinger holds Irvine, Moonbay, and Rudolph captive, revealing his goal is to capture Zeke, who only obeys Van. Van fights Rhoto in the Dark Horn and escapes. Dr. D appears in the light whirlwind and attacks Stinger and Metelinick. Metelinick enters the Dark Horn to attack Rudolph, but Van intervenes. Stinger arrives in a fully armed Light Pink Saber Fang and easily defeats the Guysack. Rudolph uses Irvine's Command Wolf to attack Stinger. Van is thrown into the light whirlwind, where the Shield Liger is resurrected as the Blade Liger. The new Blade Liger defeats Stinger, while Metelinick escapes in the Dark Horn with the Imperial Ring of Guylos. Moonbay punches Stinger, and Fiona and Zeke return after the resurrection.

Mar 4, 2000After defeating Stinger, Van and his companions travel to Guygalos, where Minister Prozen receives the Ring of Guylos. Stinger reaches a village bar and orders the Crossbow Brothers to pursue Van’s group at Desert Heldigunners. Dr. D discovers Fiona is an Ancient Zoidian, a race believed extinct by the Death Saurer. Meanwhile, Raven assaults a Republican Army fortress with the Geno Saurer, destroying it in three minutes and seizing Zoid cores. At the palace, Prozen announces Rudolph’s assassination by Republican forces and claims the throne. Moonbay and others travel while the Crossbow Brothers’ Desert Heldigunners defeat Zeke, who escapes and fuses with the Blade Liger. The Command Wolf faces attacks from Desert Heldigunners’ tail blades, but Van defeats them using a booster and blade combination. Finally, Prozen’s lab inserts Zoid Cores to awaken the Death Saurer.

Mar 11, 2000After rescuing Zeke, Van and his group attempt to reach the capital without detection. In Light Town, they discover Prozen has announced Rudolph’s death and face an Imperial roadblock. Moonbay and Fiona travel in the Gustav, while Irvine, Rudolph, Van, and Zeke traverse the mountains on foot. Moonbay successfully deceives officials by feigning a wedding. However, the commander discovers the ruse as Irvine detects nearby Redlers deploying Realgas. During the escape, Rudolph falls from a cliff. Van, Irvine, and Zeke rescue him but avoid using Zeke’s thrusters to prevent a landslide. They are eventually captured by Realgas and imprisoned. A man Van previously assisted in New Helic City rescues them from their cage. They retrieve Zeke and flee, with one soldier escaping into a river. Pursued by a herd of Rev Raptors, Van and Zeke board the Blade Liger and destroy the attackers.

Mar 18, 2000After escaping the mountains, Irvine and Van travel while recalling past events. Rudolph disguised himself as Ramona to hide his identity. Van discovers bandits dressed as Imperial soldiers are robbing a village and raising food prices. Irvine remembers his sister Helena from ten or fifteen years ago and fleeing soldiers with Moonbay. They hide in a church where Sister Alena threatens them. Van learns sick children have Gafki-Carl Fever, but the vaccine was stolen. Irvine volunteers to retrieve it, revealing Helena died from the disease. Van engages Rev Raptors and Red Horns to distract the bandits while Irvine infiltrates the base. A missile targets Irvine, but Van and Blade Liger intercept it. Irvine escapes in Command Wolf, and Van rescues him to deliver the vaccine. Meanwhile, Raven destroys another fortress with Gordos.

Meanwhile, Van, Fiona, and Zeze take a risky route to Guygalos City, splitting from Irvine, Moonbay, and Rudolph. Rudolph secretly joins Van, leading to a confrontation with Major Karl Schubaltz and black Redlers at an Imperial base. Karl recognizes Rudolph but is restrained by his superiors. Van struggles against the attackers until the Storm Sworders intervene, destroying the Redlers. Karl sacrifices the base to allow Van’s escape. Van reunites with Irvine and Moonbay, where Irvine claims victory in their earlier dispute over the route, only for Irvine to strangle Van again when Van disagrees with his leadership.

Apr 1, 2000Van and his companions are pursued by Captain Sephers' unit until McMahon, a wealthy man, rescues them and brings them to his mansion. Moonbay recognizes McMahon, and they discuss strategies to return the Prince to the castle. Captain Sephers returns, demanding a search of the house, but McMahon refuses and he departs. Moonbay dons a dress gifted by McMahon for a final dance. Van decides to leave Moonbay at the mansion with McMahon for her safety. Before Van and Irvine depart, Moonbay appears, and they converse until Sephers' unit arrives, threatening McMahon with arrest unless he hands over the impostors. McMahon deploys specially equipped Dark Horns with two 70 mm cannons, disabling most ground troops. Van and Irvine eliminate the remaining soldiers, while the Storm Sworders defeat all Black Redlers. After the conflict, Moonbay leaves and kisses McMahon one last time.

Apr 8, 2000Van and his group travel through the Valley of Heroes after defeating Captain Sepher's Unit. They arrive in the Wind City, which the Imperial Army has destroyed. Three guards piloting old Saber Fangs attack the Imperial Division, exacting revenge for the city's destruction. Meanwhile, Major Bord informs the guards that Van and his group are transporting an impostor Prince Rudolph. The guards pursue them, leading to a confrontation at the fighting grounds. Irvine disables one Saber Fang. Van defeats a second pilot but loses his boosters. He engages the third guard in an unarmed duel, winning by luck after the opponent becomes distracted.

Rosso and the Sword of Storms arrive, capturing Rudolph and transporting him to the Imperial Capital. Van destroys the Genosaur's external guns, leaving only his single blade against Raven's charged particle gun. Zeek and Fiona fuse with the Liger, restoring it to 100% condition. Van uses the Blade Liger's electron-emitting blades to neutralize the charged particle gun, ultimately defeating Raven.

Van Flyheight and his Blade Liger attempt to disarm the machine, causing further chaos and destruction. After multiple attempts from various sides, the Blade Liger finally destroys the Death Saurer. Following these events, Rudolph assumes a new post as the Emperor of the Glorious Guylos Empire. The episode concludes with Van and Fiona riding away in the Blade Liger, continuing their search for Zoid Eve.

Back at the Colony, the Priest treats Fiona and Dr. D, ensuring they make a complete recovery from their injuries sustained during the ambush.

Major Ralph and Mueller, aided by Hiltz's red organoid Ambient, steal the aircraft. Upon arrival, Van and his group discover the theft, which has become a Guardian Force headline. Their mission is to recover the stolen units. Van deduces the thieves will return for the Command Options, as the aircraft lack them, and devises a strategy to trap them upon their return.

He explains that the city emerges when two moons align, causing sea levels to drop dramatically every 60 years. As an eclipse begins and the city is unveiled, Reice attacks Van with a decoy Double Sworder and later traps him underwater with a Hammerhead.

Observers note the cocoon is evolving, prompting Republican and Imperial forces to join forces for a joint assault to destroy it. The attack fails because the glowing cocoon diverts all firepower, similar to the Shield Liger's cocoon. Consequently, the combined fleet, which includes mixed Imperial Zoids, Red Horns, Iron Kongs, Molgas, and Heldigunners, decides to wait until the Geno Saurer hatches before launching a second assault.

Thomas demands an immediate test run, during which the unit destroys Saber Fangs and Helcats in minutes. The pilot loses consciousness after launching anti-Zoid missiles and is ejected for safety. The Lightning Saix memory bank sustains heavy damage. Irvine leaves his hospital bed to inspect his damaged Command Wolf. Meanwhile, Emperor Rudolph holds a conference near the base where Irvine and others are present. The Madam President travels to the location in a white Hammerhead.
