After being exiled from Earth, Captain Harlock and the crew of the Arcadia navigate a universe where the Illumidus, a destructive humanoid species, have conquered numerous planets. Earth and other worlds have been either ruined, enslaved, or destroyed by their advance. In this story, Harlock leads efforts to fight the Illumidus while seeking a fabled "Planet of Peace" that could offer a future of freedom and peace for all beings in the galaxy.
