Ep. 11: Black Jack visits Dr. Jorujyu's Canadian cabin to treat his father's condition.
Black Jack and Pinoko arrive at Dr. Jorujyu's lakeside cabin in Canada, where Jack is shot at by Yuri, who mistakes him for her brother. Dr. George is seriously ill, and Jack diagnoses mediastinal pneumonthorax, causing air to leak into a body cavity. Yuri's brother arrives, revealing himself as the infamous Dr. Kiriko, who plans to euthanize his father against Yuri's wishes after failing to save him. Dr. Kiriko explains that his father also suffers from the incurable Phoenix Disease, contracted during the Noir Project seeking eternal life. Jack successfully operates on Dr. Jorujyu, allowing him to temporarily regain consciousness, but he succumbs to the disease anyway. As Jack leaves, Yuri gives him the key to her father's research laboratory.
