Ep. 18: Miaka and Tamahome arrange a meeting while Yui accepts Nakago's scheme to keep Tamahome in Kutou.
Miaka and Tamahome use Chichiri's powers to plan a meeting in Kutou. Yui overhears this, feels heartbroken by Tamahome's rejection, and accepts a parcel from Nakago intended to keep him there. Meanwhile, Miaka makes a wish to reunite with Tamahome and receives a doll from Nuriko that supposedly ensures eternal love, but it breaks, causing her distress. In Kutou, Yui attempts to give Tamahome a pill from Nakago's parcel but fails. Tamahome wakes up, overhears their conversation, and learns the truth. Miaka travels to the meeting spot with Chichiri, Tasuki, and Mitsukake's cat Tama. Tamahome meets Yui, who forces him to take the pill, knocking him out. Miaka and her companions arrive to find Yui, Nakago, and soldiers waiting instead of Tamahome.
