A team of explorers uncovers a stone figure of a woman named Aila within ancient ruins. Historical records from the Kalos region tell of Aila’s partner, Jan, who tried to defeat Yveltal, a Pokémon associated with destruction. His attempt failed, causing the land to become lifeless as Yveltal transformed into a cocoon and petrified Aila. Determined to reverse the damage, Jan searched for Xerneas, a being linked to life, which helped restore the region but could not revive Aila. As the balance of Kalos remained disrupted, Zygarde, a Pokémon connected to order, emerged to stabilize the area. Jan stayed by Aila’s side as the cycle of life and destruction persisted.
