Tengu to Kitsune, Chichi ni Naru

A tengu named Kuromaikai, once a renowned ayakashi, now finds his shrine in ruins and his influence lost. Blaming humans for his downfall, he seeks to regain his former status by consulting a wealthy demon who has succeeded in the human world. The demon agrees to offer Kuromaikai his power, but only if he can pass a trial: raising a human baby alongside his rival, the fox demon Miyakineina.
