The third season follows Issei Hyoudou, now known as the Red Dragon Emperor, and the Occult Research Club as they return to action during summer break at Kuoh Academy. After a battle with Vali and the Chaos Brigade, it becomes evident that Rias Gremory's team lacks experience. To address this, Rias and Azazel take the club to the Underworld for rigorous training. As the team gradually grows stronger, Issei encounters more personal situations with the club's female members. At the same time, their opponents become more formidable and increase in number, gathering their own strength. The arrival of Loki, the Evil God from Norse Mythology, introduces new threats and sets the stage for powerful confrontations involving devils.
