Two weeks prior to a scheduled concert at Yaon Hibiya auditorium on August 26, 1987, To-Y, the lead singer of the band GASP, is attacked by Aikawa Yoji during a performance at Shinjuku Loft. GASP, an emerging band known for its aggressive style, seeks recognition in a scene dominated by Aikawa, a top-charting artist. The upcoming Yaon Hibiya concert is a crucial opportunity for GASP to gain mainstream attention, but Aikawa’s manager, Ms. Kato, attempts to derail their plans by pressuring To-Y to leave the band and pursue a solo career with a major label. Meanwhile, a mysterious figure named Niya, who displays feline characteristics, claims to be To-Y’s "aijin," causing tension with Koishikawa Hiderou, who has a personal interest in To-Y. Koishikawa, referred to by Niya as "Sonoko-chan" and labeled an "okama," is caught in this conflict. GASP and their supporters, marked by their unconventional style, music preferences, and consumption of Classic Coke, face ongoing challenges in gaining wider acceptance.
