Satoshi and Pikachu travel to Lumiose City in the Kalos region to continue their quest to become the best. There, they meet Citron and his sister Eureka, who are drawn into a conflict when Team Rocket causes a Gaburias to go on a rampage. In Vaniville Town, Serena trains with Sihorn at her mother’s request. After seeing a news report about the incident in Miare City, she recognizes a boy from her past and decides to find him. The series follows Satoshi competing in gym battles, Citron learning from him, and Serena seeking her own path. As they journey across Kalos, they encounter new allies and opponents, confront Team Rocket, and learn about mega evolution.
