Layton Kyouju to Eien no Utahime

Layton and his apprentice receive a request from opera singer Jenis Quatlane to attend her performance and help with a mystery. Her friend Melina died a year earlier but reappeared as a seven-year-old girl claiming to have discovered the secret to eternal life and possessing knowledge only the real Melina would have. Intrigued, Layton and Luke travel to the Crown Petone opera house while Remi remains in London to investigate missing girls. The opera tells the tale of a queen in the Kingdom of Immortals who fell ill and died, after which a potion for immortality was created. The kingdom's people, longing to reunite with their queen, drank the potion to become immortal. The story ends with a masked man challenging the audience to a game, offering eternal life to the winner and death to the others. Layton and Luke must participate to uncover the truth behind eternal life. The events occur between the games *Professor Layton and the Last Specter* and *Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask*.
