Ep. 9: Lisa Rejects Friendship Status and Confesses Feelings to Outani

Lisa chooses to remain friends with Outani to avoid worrying Nobuko and other friends. On the second day of the school trip, they encounter Umibouzu, who is on vacation with his family. Both are stunned by the meeting. When Lisa asks Umibouzu's wife how they met, she explains they were high school sweethearts who broke up before reuniting and marrying. Inspired by this story, Lisa finds the courage to accept her true feelings. She informs Outani that she will not revert to a "just friends" dynamic because she likes him. Consequently, the two establish a relationship status that is more than friends but less than lovers.
